Country Engagement Session | Arbor Hills Nature Preserve

Take a closer look at Morgyn and Reno’s romantic country engagement session at Arbor Hills Nature Preserve in Plano.

Morgyn and Reno braved the Texas heat and we were able to get some beautiful pictures! I loved getting to know them a little bit more before their upcoming wedding in November. When Morgyn and I were discussing the style she was envisioning for her engagement photos, she only had one word: country. So I was challenged to find the best location for a country engagement session.

As we walked through the trails of Arbor Hills, Morgyn and Reno told me that they had never taken professional photos together, and they were both nervous about appearing in front of the camera. I reassured them that the first couple of minutes will probably feel awkward and uncomfortable, but once we get going it’s going to be SO MUCH FUN! And guess what? IT WAS SO MUCH FUN!

Finding the perfect, country space

They both traveled from out of town to do their engagements with me, so I wanted to make sure we found the best location for them! Arbor Hills Nature Preserve in Plano is a fantastic spot for engagement sessions. I’ve been out there 4 times this year already, and each session had a different feel because Arbor Hills is such a blank canvas.

Engagement session inspiration

Morgyn and Reno went with blue, Morgyn wearing an adorable blue jean dress with nude heels, and Reno wearing a long sleeve button up with light blue detailing with jeans and boots complete with a cowboy hat. Their outfit choices really created the country style they wanted without having to physically travel to a more rural area.

Engagement session: radiating the love

Morgyn and Reno have such a sweet romantic aura radiating around them. Every prompt I gave them ended up showing me just how much they adore each other. Reno couldn’t help but smile when I had him looking at Morgyn. Anytime they had to look at each other, or kiss, they laughed sweetly and snuggled in close.

I am honored to have been able to capture Morgyn & Reno’s country engagement session. And, I am beyond excited to capture their upcoming wedding in November!
